Aquascutum was a UK-based luxury clothing manufacturer and retailer. In April 2012 it was sold by Jaeger to YGM Trading, a Chinese fashion retailer. It was established in 1851 by John Emary in Regent Street. Aquascutums waterproof fabric made the coats for the officers in the Crimean War.
Three ex-Aquascutum employees; Michael Drake, Jeremy Hull and Isabel Dickson founded Drake’s in 1977. Michael Drake did the house check at Aquascutum.
